Possibles

“Anything can happen,” Sheppy tells her father in the hospital, quoting her favorite poem. But it’s hard to believe in the “possibles” now that he’s gone.  What will Sheppy, her brother Ranger, and Mama do without Papa.  Everything has changed.  Nobody is acting normal and, because money is short, Sheppy can’t go to camp with her best friend, Tess.  She has to spend the summer “lady-sitting” a cranky woman who’s broken her leg.  It all seems unbearable until Sheppy discovers new friendships and the poems her father left behind.  A story of love and loss and possibilities.
